Built in 1929, the Kings Theatre in Brooklyn was a staple of entertainment in Brooklyn for decades. Showing the latest films and vaudeville shows, the architecture and interior design mirrored the lavishness of theatre at the time. Kings Theatre was known as one of the original five 'Lowes Wonder Theatres' and enjoyed a highly successful run until cineplexes and multiplexes began to dominate the movie scene. The theatre closed in 1977 and fell into disrepair before being restored and reopened by the ACE Theatrical Group of Houston in February of 2015 with a live show by Diana Ross.
Nowadays, Kings Theatre hosts concerts, dance tours, childrens shows, and a wide variety of other entertainment. Aloft New York Brooklyn is located less than four miles from the theatre, and is accessible by car, bus, or subway. Book a stay at our hotel near Kings Theatre, Brooklyn and enjoy:
